Transfer market activity intensifies for key players
The summer transfer window is seeing significant movement and interest around several prominent football players. Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly seeking £145m for Bradley Barcola, a 23-year-old France forward, with Arsenal and Liverpool among the clubs showing interest. Barcola is understood to be open to a move away from PSG, where he has spent three years since departing Lyon in 2023. Despite his contract running through 2031, he is not expected to sign new terms this summer, potentially paving the way for his departure.
Barcola has been instrumental in PSG‘s recent successes, contributing to back-to-back Champions League and Ligue 1 titles. He also had an impressive World Cup campaign, scoring three goals and assisting another in eight appearances. His potential availability has put Liverpool in a strong position, particularly as they look to strengthen their wide forward options following Mohamed Salah‘s departure. Liverpool‘s new manager, Andoni Iraola, has reportedly emphasized the need for new wingers.
While Liverpool are actively pursuing a deal for Barcola, they face competition from Arsenal, who have also been scouting the player. The high valuation set by PSG, however, could be a factor for interested clubs. Barcola’s talent and age are cited as justifications for the substantial asking price.
Vinicius Jr and Guimaraes futures in focus
Another player generating transfer speculation is Vinicius Jr. Although Arsenal have not initiated talks for the 26-year-old Brazil forward, Real Madrid have reportedly set a price of 160m euros (£137m) for his sale this summer. Reports suggest Arsenal would be prepared to offer Vinicius the largest contract in their club’s history. However, Vinicius’s priority is to sign a new deal with Real Madrid, where he has one year remaining on his current contract.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are also expected to accelerate discussions regarding the signing of Newcastle‘s 28-year-old Brazil midfielder Bruno Guimaraes. Guimaraes has reportedly informed his representatives that he wants his future resolved within the next week, prior to joining Newcastle‘s pre-season training camp.

Other notable transfer interests
Beyond these high-profile names, several other players are attracting attention in the transfer market. Tottenham are considered favourites to sign 22-year-old Brazil winger Savinho from Manchester City. Real Madrid have reportedly reached personal terms with RB Leipzig‘s 19-year-old Ivory Coast winger Yan Diomande. Al-Hilal have opened discussions for 26-year-old Senegal winger Iliman Ndiaye from Everton.
Chelsea are expected to demand a significant fee for 26-year-old Portugal winger Pedro Neto, with interest from Liverpool, Manchester City, and clubs in Saudi Arabia. Besiktas are awaiting a decision from 34-year-old Egypt forward Mohamed Salah after submitting their final offer, following his departure from Liverpool as a free agent. Bournemouth are not looking to sell 20-year-old French striker Junior Kroupi, despite interest from Barcelona. Fulham is considered a leading option for 18-year-old Argentina midfielder Franco Mastantuono if Real Madrid decides to loan him out next season. Additionally, Juventus are working on a deal to sign 25-year-old Netherlands forward Joshua Zirkzee from Manchester United, and 31-year-old Portugal midfielder Joao Palhinha wants to remain at Bayern Munich despite the club’s reported intention to sell him.
